Level I Assessment:

Is this mold?   ~   What type of mold is this?

  1. Suspect area(s) are identified and samples obtained for analysis.
  2. Non-suspect area(s) are identified and comparison samples are obtained for analysis.
  3. Samples are analyzed for:
    1. Total counts of fungal spores
    2. Total counts of other fungal structures
    3. Total counts of each type of fungus observed.
  4. Results are interpreted and compared to Non-suspect area(s).

Level II Assessment:

I've got mold!   ~   What should I do?

This standardized procedure was developed to provide a detailed visual inspection of the residence to determine the level of mold contamination and to research the possible causes and cures for the residence.

  1. Comprehensive Water Intrusion Inspection of property.
  2. Suspect area(s) are identified and samples obtained for analysis.
    1. Air and Surface Samples are obtained.
  3. Non-suspect area(s) are identified and comparison samples are obtained for analysis.
    1. Air and Surface Samples are obtained.
  4. Outdoor Samples are obtained.
  5. Samples are analyzed for:
    1. Total counts of fungal spores
    2. Total counts of other fungal structures
    3. Total counts of each type of fungus observed.
  6. Results are interpreted and compared
    1. To Non-suspect area(s).
    2. To Outdoor Samples
    3. Indicator Organisms are Identified
